For students using a laptop with a Windows 10 S operating system, the 'S' version will prevent the installation of certain recommended software - like Google Chrome. Follow the steps outlined below to download and install Windows 10 Education |
Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/vlacademicISO and download the Windows Media Creation Tool
Run the downloaded Windows Media Creation Tool
- Accept the Terms and Conditions
- Select the option to Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC :
- Select which option you would like to use and select your ISO
The Windows Media Creation Tool will now make your USB flash drive (or DVD disk) a bootable Windows 10 installation. |
Install the Windows 10 Education edition
Insert the bootable USB flash drive (or DVD disk) into your laptop, then boot the laptop to begin the Windows 10 installation process
You might first need to modify your laptop's BIOS settings to enable it to boot from a USB flash drive (or DVD disk). |

When first creating the document, enter your @name in 'Created by' and add the //current date to 'Created on'. The initial status for documents should be 'Draft'. Edit the Article Status macro to change the status to 'Submitted' when ready to publish the article. Only change this to 'Complete' when you have taken the time to fully proof the article. Use 'For review' to mark documents that require checking, adding in a brief reason for the review and the person who should check the document. Optionally, add a date by which the document should be reviewed. These details should be removed when the status is set back to 'Complete'. Leave this section hidden.
