Printing from MacOS (AirPrinting)

Background

Apple devices are able to AirPrint at Flinders.


How to Install a Printer

  1. Connect to the school WIFI. Here is the Guide

  2. Navigate to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.



  3. Click the + icon under the Printers List.

  4. Select 'Follow Me'.

    Check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
    Click Add.

If Secure AirPrint isn't displayed:

  1. Close the Add dialog.

    1. Disconnect from the network, then reconnect to it again.

    2. Check if you can see Secure AirPrint now. If you can't, contact your System Administrator.

Remove Old FCCC Printer

If you have FCCC printers installed that are offline please remove them as they are from our old system

 

Print your document.

  1. When prompted, enter your Flinders username and password.

  2. Select the print option in your application or press ⌘+P as normal to print.



  3. Select the 'Follow Me' printer you want to print to from the list 

  4. Adjust any other print options 

    1. Black and white.

    2. Two-side 

    3. Number of copies

    4. Page selection

  5. Select Print



  6. If this is the first time your are printing to this printer you maybe prompted for your username and password. (By default Apple might auto-fill your Macbook username in the username field. Erase that and enter your school username)



  7. Then use your ID Card or username and password at the closest printer to collect your printed documents.
