Background

To enable full internet access on your Mac including Safari or Chrome web browsers complete the steps below in one of these browsers. 

If you use Mozilla's Firefox browser please see the article Additional Firefox browser instructions for additional steps.

Other browsers may also work but have not been tested.

After connecting to FCCC SSID you next need to download a  Mobileconfig to your Mac for use on the Flinders Network. This must be done on your computer the first time you connect to enable internet access.

Step-by-step guide

To setup your Mac computer for the BYOD network, follow these instructions:

1. Open this link from Safari Browser and Download this file FCCC_WiFi.mobileconfig.
   
   
2. Open the file
   
   
3. Open System Preferences and navigate to Privacy and Security
   
   
    
4. Click on profiles
   
   
   
   
5. Double click the FCCC WiFi section
   
   
   
   
6. Click install and then click install again
   
   
   
   

7. You can now close the System Preferences/Profiles window.
   
   
   

   
   

8. Open the Keychain Access app , 

   • Press Command-Space bar to open spotlight.

   • Search for keychain.

   
   

9. Select the logon keychain and the certificates tab.

10. Double-click the "Flinders CC College Root CA" certificate.

11. Next to Trust, click the arrow  to display the trust policies for the certificate.

12. On the dropdown menu Next to "When using this certificate:" Select "Always Trust"

13. Exit the Certificate settings by clicking the red dot.
    
14. Use your fingprint or password to allow the changes.
